100th Day of School

Thursday was the 100th Day of School! We did several activities to celebrate!!

 

Harrison brought us these cute snacks!!

 

We made "100 Days Smarter" stories.

 

Since we are learning about adjectives, we made a list of 100 adjectives!

 

We also made 100th Day trail mix. Each child got 10 of the 10 items on the table. 10 groups of 10 make 100!

We had a great 100th day of school!!

A Weed is A Flower

This week we are reading:

 

This story is a biography about George Washington Carver. We have been learning about all the things he used peanuts to make. One of the things is shaving cream.

 

What better way to learn about shaving cream than to play with it for a little while!

 

 

 

We had lots of fun and our room smelled good too!!

O' Christmas Tree

We had a beautiful class tree this year!!

Several parents came in and made ornaments with us!

Christmas Around the World

We spent the last few days before Christmas learning about how different countries celebrated Christmas!!

First we made passports and suitcases, so we could "travel" to each place!

 

We made reindeer snacks!

 

 

We made dreidels!

 

We also made windmill ornaments!

 

The kids really enjoyed learning about how the different countries celebrated Christmas!!

December Happenings

We did lots of fun things in December!

 Here we are working on our Compound Words reindeer!

 We learned that verbs were action words! We made Angry Verbs to help us learn about verbs!!

We wrote Christmas stories in the computer lab!

December was very busy and before we knew it was time for Christmas break!

Thanksgiving Feast

I am going to catch everyone up on what has been going on in our class!!

In November, we had our Thanksgiving Feast! Everyone brought a dish in and we eat together as a family!! Everyone I know had a great time and full bellies!!

Lots of great food and company!! Thanks to all the parents for making our Thanksgiving Feast a success!!
